Introduction
This document explains the steps required to use the DataDirect Connect® for JDBC® drivers with the JBoss Application Server1. These steps include:
- Install DataDirect Connect for JDBC.
- Create a data source. A sample data source file, datadirect-ds.xml, is available with this document.
- Generate the JavaServer Page (JSP) test page. A sample JSP test page is provided in the JBossTestWeb.war file, which is available with this document.
- Deploy the JBoss web application to the JBoss server.
- Run the JBoss web application.
- Map a data source to a local Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) name in a Session Enterprise Java Bean (EJB).
- Specify the data source for an Entity EJB.
