DataDirect Connect for ADO includes Integrator, a component which enables full SQL-based processing of relational and non-relational data.
Designed as an OLE DB service provider, DataDirect Integrator is a query processor component that delivers consistent, standards-based SQL processing of non-SQL data for ADO and OLE DB consumers. Integrator simplifies information access and extends application functionality through key business component services. Organizations can incrementally add query processing functionality across client, server and web environments and access and process previously unavailable data sources like XML without extensive development efforts.
Integrator's highly optimized query processor engine delivers consistent and robust ANSI SQL-92 functionality, global catalogs for user-friendly metadata, persistent views for reusable business logic, and scrollable cursor capability for easy navigation across all types of data. Integrator can be used with ODBC, ADO and OLE DB applications to leverage existing ODBC investments and the flexibility and services of the COM architecture.
