Once developers define relational database sources as XQuery collections, they can use them in Data Integration Suite’s XML mapper as though it were just another XML file on the local file System. Data integration is so easy — just load data sources, target output format, and draw lines from input to output. The XQuery code needed to implement the various mapping operations is automatically generated.

Data Integration Suite also provides a powerful and standards-based way to extend access to any legacy data format including EDI standards and a variety of flat file formats! Data Integration Suite provides thousands of built-in converters for the most common legacy file formats, and using Convert to XML, it's easy to visually define custom XML converter definitions for any proprietary data format. All of the Data Integration Suite tools work with legacy data sources as though they were just another file on the local file system.

Data Integration Suite’s IDE includes a full featured, integrated Java Code Generator that allows developers to take XQuery code and deploy it to production environments, automatically creating all of the files that are needed to invoke XQuery from within any Java application. Data Integration Suite also generates the Java code needed for easily-defined or even complex XML conversion, which is then wrapped within the XQuery runtime deployment engine.
