Introduction

This document explains the steps required to use the DataDirect Connect for JDBC™ drivers with the Sun Java System Application Server¹, which include:

1. Install DataDirect Connect for JDBC.
2. Create a JDBC Connection Pool.
3. Validate the Connection Pool.
4. Create a JDBC Resource.
5. Generate the Java Server Page (JSP) test page. A sample JSP test page is provided in the JavaSystemASTest.war file, which is available with this document.
6. Deploy the JavaSystemASTest web application to the Sun Java System Application Server.
7. Run the JavaSystemASTest web application.
